Our first stop will be Tamegroute, where we’ll explore the rich history of the region with a visit to the ancient Zaouia and its Koranic library. You’ll also witness the craftsmanship of local pottery artisans and have the chance to explore the intriguing underground kasbah.

As we continue south, we’ll reach the breathtaking Oasis of Tagounite, nestled in the heart of the Ait Isfoul tribe’s territory. Our journey concludes in Zagora, famously known as the “Desert Gate.” This city holds a unique place in history, once marking the starting point of the legendary journey to Timbuktu, as immortalized by the iconic inscription "Timbuktu 52 days."

As we travel through expansive desert plains and pass by picturesque Berber villages, we’ll make a stop at the Aït Ouazik engravings cave, where ancient carvings tell stories of the past.

Next, we arrive in Tazarine, known for its lively Henna festival. You may even catch a glimpse of this cultural celebration. We continue to Alnif, an oasis town famous for its sweet dates and unique fossil stones – an ideal spot for a delicious lunch and a chance to find a special souvenir.

In the afternoon, we head to Rissani, Morocco’s first imperial city and the historic capital of the Alaouite dynasty. As the sun sets, the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi come into view. We’ll end the day in comfort at a hotel nestled amidst these awe-inspiring sands.

We’ll begin by following the iconic Paris-Dakar rally route, traversing the dunes and marveling at the stunning contrasts of the desert landscape. Our journey then takes us to the unique village of Khamlia, also known as the “black village” due to the African descent of its residents. Here, you’ll be immersed in vibrant culture with a captivating performance by Gnawa musicians.

For lunch, savor a traditional Berber pizza in Khamlia. Afterward, you have the freedom to choose your next experience. You can explore the lively local markets, hunting for hidden treasures and one-of-a-kind souvenirs, or unwind at a cozy cafe, sipping coffee and taking in the sights and sounds of daily life in this fascinating village.

Next, we’ll head to Erfoud, where you’ll step back in time with a visit to a fossilized marble factory, witnessing how ancient treasures are transformed into stunning works of art. Our scenic drive continues, passing through quaint Berber villages like Touroug and Tinjdad. Our final stop for the day is Tinghir, the gateway to the magnificent Todra Gorges. Here, we’ll embark on an unforgettable hike along the Todra River, winding between towering cliffs for an awe-inspiring adventure.
