You'll be picked up from your hotel or hostel in Marrakech before 8:00 a.m. as we embark on a scenic journey along the R207 route to the coast. Along the way, we’ll make a stop to admire the argan trees, where you might see small goats climbing the branches—a captivating photo opportunity, as sometimes up to 20 goats can be spotted in one tree!

We'll also visit a women’s cooperative that produces argan oil, extracted from the tree's kernels. This oil is not only a delicious addition to Moroccan bread but also serves as a beauty treatment for skin and hair.

Upon arriving in Essaouira, you'll be greeted by the vast expanse of the North Atlantic Ocean. The vibrant old town (medina), a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcases its historical significance with old brass cannons lining the walls and ramparts that once protected the city from invaders. Modern cafes and restaurants blend seamlessly with the city’s rich history, making it feel like a journey through time as you navigate between contemporary spots and rustic buildings in the medina.

The beachfront promenade invites you to relax on the sandy shores. Be sure to bring your swimwear, sunblock, and a towel to enjoy the sun-soaked beach.

We'll depart Essaouira in time to return to Marrakech by 6:00 p.m., allowing you to enjoy the beautiful sunset along the way. Essaouira is a must-visit for any traveler in Morocco, and this day trip will surely showcase its unique charm.
