We will begin our 4-day tour from Ouarzazate to the Merzouga Desert from the agreed meeting point in Ouarzazate. Our first stop will be the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a 13th-century fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site.

As we stroll through its charming narrow streets, you'll appreciate the beauty of this historical gem. Fun fact: this location has been featured in films such as Gladiator, Sahara, and Kingdom of Heaven. Our journey continues to the oasis of Skoura, where we will visit the well-preserved Kasbah of Amridil and learn about the significance and function of these traditional buildings.

Next, we will travel along the "route of a thousand kasbahs" and through the Valley of Roses, leading us to the stunning Dades Gorge. We'll enjoy dinner and stay overnight at a hotel or riad near the Todra Gorge.

On the second day of our 4-day desert tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga, after breakfast, we will head to Tinghir and visit the striking Todra Gorges. Here, you can take a short walk to admire the towering cliffs and the narrow view of the sky above.

We will then continue to the Erg Chebbi dunes, passing through Tinjdad, the Oasis of Tatilalet near Erfoud (known for its Date Festival), and Rissani, the seat of the Alaouite dynasty, the royal family of Morocco. Along the way, between Tinjdad and Erfoud, we can explore the fascinating underground water channels that provide irrigation while preventing evaporation.

In Erfoud, we’ll stop to observe the incredible fossils turned into beautiful artifacts. Lunch will be enjoyed in a traditional Berber village along the route. Upon arrival at the desert bivouac, you will be greeted with tea before embarking on a camel ride to witness the breathtaking sunset over the dunes.

The evening will include dinner and an overnight stay in a nomad tent at the base of the dunes.

After breakfast, you will embark on a grand tour around the dunes, passing by the two oases of Merzouga, the nomadic settlement, and the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnaoua music. You will also explore the Mifiss mines, the desert plains, and meet the Berber nomads living in the desert. The journey will conclude with a visit to the Tissardmine oasis before returning to the hotel.

Early risers can enjoy a stunning desert sunrise before breakfast. Afterward, we will begin our journey back to Ouarzazate, passing through Rissani, the birthplace of Morocco's reigning Alaouite dynasty. We'll then travel through the Berber villages of Alnif and N'Kob, followed by the scenic Draa Valley to Agdez, where we will stop for lunch. Continuing our route, we will reach Ouarzazate in the late afternoon. If time permits, you may still catch your flight. This marks the end of our 4-day desert tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga.
