Departing daily from Marrakech, these tours are ideal for those who want to experience the beauty of the Moroccan desert in Merzouga, even if it means covering long distances. The journey is packed with breathtaking scenery, ensuring you’ll never get bored as you witness one stunning landscape after another. The tour showcases the dramatic changes in Morocco’s diverse geography, from the fertile Al-Haouz Plains near Marrakech, through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, and into lush valleys and oases. As the rocky plateaus give way, you’ll be greeted by the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 1 :

Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Boumalne Dades

On the first day of your 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour, you’ll embark on an exciting journey from Marrakech to Merzouga, located in the southeastern region of Morocco. Traveling in a modern, air-conditioned 4x4 or minibus, your adventure begins at 8:00 am when our guide picks you up from your Marrakech hotel.

We’ll journey through the stunning Atlas Mountains, descending to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortified village, with its six impressive kasbahs, will transport you back in time to the era of desert nomads, ancient markets, and gladiators. After a guided tour of this historic location, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant within the kasbah.

Our next stop will be Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert” and a popular filming location for iconic films like The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. Here, we’ll take a break at a café before continuing our adventure into the Dades Valley.

In the evening, you’ll arrive at Boumalne Dades, where you can relax in a charming guest house. Your room will feature a private bathroom, and you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, marking the perfect end to your first day of the 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour.

Day 2 :

Boumalne Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert Camp

On the second day of our 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour, we’ll start with a hearty breakfast at our guest house before setting off for the breathtaking Todra Gorge. With its towering rock walls and stunning scenery, the Todra Gorge is sure to leave you speechless, making you wonder why it isn’t considered one of the wonders of the world.

After taking in the spectacular views and enjoying lunch, we’ll continue our journey towards the heart of the desert—Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll experience an unforgettable camel ride, crossing the majestic Erg Chebbi Dunes as we make our way to a traditional Berber desert camp.

At the camp, you’ll enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars and settle in for a magical night in the desert. In the morning, you’ll be treated to breakfast before we begin the final leg of our 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour.

Day 3 :

Merzouga to Marrakech via Draa Valley

On the final day of our 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour, we’ll begin with a camel ride back across the Erg Chebbi Dunes to Merzouga. From there, we’ll journey through the scenic Draa Valley, stopping to admire the stunning landscapes and visit the town of Rissani, known for its impressive Moroccan palaces, intricate doors, and historical temples—perfect for capturing unforgettable photos.

Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through Nqob and Tamnougalt before arriving once again in Ouarzazate, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterward, we’ll make our way back to Marrakech, crossing the beautiful Atlas Mountains. We expect to arrive in Marrakech around 8:00 PM, marking the end of our incredible 3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour.
